The proposed scientific article examines the scientific works of scientists, various economic schools, international authoritative organizations in the field of sustainable development, economic globalization. In the course of the study, the authors determined that the traditional model of economic growth has largely exhausted itself and there is no alternative to sustainable development, and the increase in environmental tensions, awareness of the danger of further development of the frontal economy will increasingly force countries to try to take into account environmental factors and introduce new economic models.
Attention is drawn to the fact that the formation of the architecture of the world order in the XXI century is based on a combination of increasingly complex processes of competition between countries and companies.
While traditional macro indicators remain a measure of human well-being, there are huge obstacles to change. The market sees only efficiency, it is not adapted to feel fairness or sustainability. In this regard, focusing on traditional economic indicators in the future may hinder the transition to sustainable development. In this regard, the authors agreed that indicators reflecting environmental and social problems, rather than formal macroeconomic growth indicators, should play an increasingly important role, reasonable proposals and ways of improvement have also been developed, opportunities for integrating advanced models into domestic experience are provided, taking into account global challenges.
