DIRECTION OF STUDY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORMS IN KAZAKHSTAN: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

The purpose of the study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis and mapping in order to determine the level of study of public administration reforms in Kazakhstan.
Methodology. In achieving our research goal, bibliometric networks were created and visualized with the VOSviewer software. We conducted a bibliometric analysis of the data collected in the Scopus academic database. In conducting the analysis, we used a special strategy, which was 41 articles on the reform of Public Administration in Kazakhstan. In general, this method showed a reliable analysis of the state of our research direction.
Uniqueness/value of the study. This bibliometric analysis is the first study of Public Administration reform in Kazakhstan. In the analysis of a large amount of data in our research area, the bibliometric method is relevant. It contributes to literature by identifying research in the field of reforming the country's public administration, the work of the most cited author, publications and scientific institutions.
The results of the study showed that the most commonly used keywords are public administration reforms, transparency, corruption, good governance. Mussagulova et al., (2019), Buribayev et al., (2016) is recognized as the highest cited and most frequently cited author. The study also highlighted that the reforms carried out in the country in recent years have focused on the satisfaction of citizens with the provision of public services and living conditions. Our study showed the development trend in peer-reviewed journals of the international level. For example, research in the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy was conducted until 2012, and research in this direction for Kazakhstan gained momentum in 2020.
