The article considers the economic effect of the EXPO exhibitions in foreign countries and Kazakhstan.
Since there are a lot of foreign tourists visiting the exhibition today, so many countries are striving to create their
own special pavilion that expresses national identity and demonstrates to the whole world the level of economic and
technological development of this country. The article revealed that the holding of international exhibitions - EXPO
gives the country the following advantages: additional injections into the economy of the country, the solution of
transport problems of large megacities, the diversification of the economies of regions, the promotion of the image of
the country, the construction boom, etc. The authors also analyzed the impact of the EXPO-2017 exhibition in Astana
on the economy of Kazakhstan.
