The article discusses the models of technological modernization of industry in foreign
countries. The author proposes recommendations on the use of foreign experience in Kazakhstan.
The USA was the first who started the international modernization race, where the main prize is a
new, modernized economy. Modernization of industry is a consistent, balanced process of transformation.
In a historical retrospective, modernization has allowed Japan to move from a model of catching-up
development to a normal progressive development and have already been able to find and offer the world
the path of the most advanced development.
The leadership of China recognized the need to borrow foreign technology and experience for
modernization - “to overcome their backwardness at the present stage and in the future in order to reach the
advanced global level”. Large-scale adoption requires competent coordination of the efforts of all parties
involved in the process: economic agents, highly developed science and special institutions.
