Abstract

 In the article, the authors considered ways to improve the processes of modernization of the economy of agglomeration cities, socio-economic development and improving the quality of life of the population, management of innovative development.

 Currently, the modernization of the urban economy and management of its innovative development in the Republic of Kazakhstan is a very high priority. He carried out a wide, deep research work to identify strategies, mechanisms, socio-economic problems of managing the innovative development of agglomeration cities. They tried to reveal opportunities that contribute to the diversification of the economy of agglomeration cities, increasing their competitiveness and investment attractiveness, and improving the quality of life of the population.

The authors also considered it important to study the mechanism for managing the innovative development of agglomeration cities and the tools for its implementation, which they examined in detail in this article.

Agglomerations are a grouping of settlements formed in the vicinity of the city, in one family, in general, transport and logistics, cultural, industrial, innovative and labor resources.  Agglomeration contributes to improving the state of the business sector, the life of the population, innovation, the development of scientific and creative activities, and the influx of large amounts of investment.
