Abstract

The article examines the current state of the world market of organic products. Trends in the development of organic production are relevant in more than 190 countries around the world and this figure is increasing annually due to the fact that organic products are becoming in demand among many segments of the population for various objective reasons. In developed countries, the market of environmentally friendly agricultural products is developing dynamically. The potential of this market is quite large, as evidenced by the figures characterizing the volume and dynamics of its development. This article discusses the main indicators of the leading countries in the production and sale of organic products, the world market of organic production, as well as the main problems of the production of organic products and ways to solve them.

The purpose of the study is to develop theoretical, scientific and methodological provisions and recommendations for improving the development of agricultural production in the world in modern conditions.

The scientific novelty of the article consists in analyzing the main indicators of organic farming in the world, identifying the leading countries, assessing the organic market in the world and providing recommendations.

Methods of comparative analysis of statistical indicators, construction of diagrams and tables were used in economic analysis.
